Mihály Schwechtje's independent feature film will be screened on the Hungarian day of TIFF before its theatrical premiere on 20 June.

A Hunt for Hedgehogs debuts in Romanian cinemas in a week

Bogi, a talented opera singer student, earns money by babysitting the children of her cousin, whose marriage is in crisis. On the day of her final exam, she is under pressure and commits an error while she is with the children.

The film is directed by Mihály Schwechtje, who co-wrote the screenplay with Panni Szurdi, produced by Genovéva Petrovits and Zoltán Mártonffy, and stars Csaba Polgár, Dorottya Mari, Juli Jakab and Andrea Fullajtár in the main roles.

Romanian screenings of the movie A Hunt for Hedgehogs:

  • Arad: one outdoor screening on 22 June at 21:30 at Neptun beach
  • Miercurea Ciuc, Cinema Csíki Mozi: one screening on 21st June at 17:00 (facebook event here, tickets here)
  • Cluj: premiere screenings and audience meetings with cinematographer Csaba Bántó on Wednesday 18 June at 22:15 at Sapientia University and on Thursday 19 June at 18: 00 at the Dacia Cinema in Monostor, at the Transilvania International Film Festival; regular screenings after the festival at the Cinema Arta and Cinema Victoria
  • Sibiu, CineGold cinema: regular screenings from 20 June
  • Sfântu Gheorghe, Cinema Arta by Cityplex: regular screenings from 20 June
  • Timișoara: one screening on the terrace of the Studio Cinema on 19 June and regular screenings from 20 June at Cinema Victoria

The Romanian distributor of The Hunt for Hedgehogs is the Filmtett Association. The film will be screened in the original language with Romanian subtitles, the official Romanian title is Vânătoarea de arici.
